Welcome

Welcome to my blog site
I got no clue or done media studies before as I took the course as it seems interesting as we learn more about media and film making, using a camera correctly.
Furthermore studying media studies will give me more experience in the world as I see and be a part of the world as the media covers everything from little TV dramas to big news headlines or a big blockbuster. As well as learning the practice side of the course, we'll also getting to know the theory of the Media.

My interests are that I watch millions of movies each year, by heading down to the cinema and watch new releases or watching a movie every night from action films to laugh-out-comedies films.
For example,  this weekend I watched the new Predators film.

The picture on the right-handed side is a Mid Shot.
The Mid Shot of the character which is the predator,  makes the Predator dominant in the shot and the main focus of the shot as it makes the audience feel that something evil like will occur afterwards.
Also the Predator in the mid shot creates a scary feel to the audience that the predator is looking at you, this is the reason why the Predator movie is a Sci-fi, Horror,  Thriller movie as it creates emotion and feelings within the audience.
This shot to the left handed side would be a shot and reverse shot however it also could be a close up.  As only the head and shoulders of the Predator are only being shown in the shot. Also the close up shows the Predator in detail and it the main focus at this moment of the film.
However, this shot could be a shot and reverse as there are two Predators in the shot and one is being dominant and victorious showing strong body language.
Whilst in the next shot that follows this shot will show the defended Predator's emotions and feelings that the Predator has lost.

The right-handed shot is a two people shot
that there is two characters in the shot.
This creates a thrilling atmosphere that makes
the audience feel the creating emotion feel.
