Animate opening to the thriller

From looking at existing animate opening of major film production and distribution companies, I have came up with my own self-created, animate opening to the thriller with the logos of our production and distribution companies. I have created the following logos to go into the opening to our thriller - 'Cursed Life'. Planetational Studios logo Moon Spider Company Logo Dark Skies Logo Shown in the animate opening video. And finally the animate opening to the thriller that will be used in the opening to Cursed Life.

Opening Script

In the two minute opening to the thriller- "Cursed Life", the following lines will be used in the opening. These lines will be spoken by the voiceover, that will be used to help with setting the thriller and part of the story behind the thriller.

These lines will be spoken by Ryan Parsons, who is the other person in my team.

" Death was only the beginning, as you made it".
" Walking a lifeless, worthless path of the retribution of my soul". 
" The soul in which you have taken from me".
" You have taken everything from me; Love, friends and my life and placed a curse in its place".
" A curse of death... A curse of loneliness.... A curse of a ghoul".
" Everything I touch turns me into the curse".
" I swear... I will have my retribution, I will find you.... as this is my curse but my life, I will find you.. In this cursed life or the next".


Following lines that may be added to the thriller:

" Why did you do this to me?"
" Was it a punishment form my crime?"
" Lost within the body in which you left it worthless and in dark,
   soulless".
" Did I die for a reason or I'm already dead".

General film opening

In a general film opening to any genre, has majority the same layout as each others. As they all open up with the distribution and filming companies' logos, that help along with giving filming equipment or to help in general to make the film a success. This clip of the Warner Brothers Pictures logo, that flies and transforms into the New Line Cinema logo and then another film companies appears- Walden Media. This will give me some ideas of how the first few seconds of any genre film opening is and how it will look if I apply my own logos like these film companies did to my thriller opening. The following opening sequence from the film clip of Se7en shows me an example of a thriller opening will look like with the opening credits. This will give me some inspiration to create an opening to my thriller excellent and successful. As this clip to the film is a thriller, it will be a very good example of a thriller opening,that can help me to create my thriller;this gives me a idea of certain footage and titling that's used in an opening to a thriller. This clip is from a 2014 film- X men: Days of Future Past, this isn't a thriller but an film opening that's uses strong special effects in the opening credits. This will give some examples of special effects to uses in my thriller and how they are applied to the film opening to create a strong,in - depth effect on the audience to make them watch and enjoy the rest of the movie. All these clips of how a film opening sequence looks like and show me how my thriller should look like if I follow these existing film opening sequences.

MAIN  MALE  CHARACTER  WALKING  FROM  THE RIGHT TO  LEFT. WALKING TO THE CENTRE OF THE BRIDGE, LOOKING  OUT TO  THE  TRAIN  TRACK..

 

CLOSE UP OF THE  MALE CHARACTER  AND  MID – SHOT IS USED IN THE FIRST 30 SECONDS OF THE OPENING TO THE THRILLER..

 

VOICEOVER:

THE TEENAGE BOY IS PUZZLED AND  LOOKING  AROUND TO SEE WHAT HAS JUST HAPPENED.

THEN FALLS BACK TO SLEEP IN THE CHAIR.

 

FLASHBACK…

TEENAGER  BOY  IS  WALKING  PEACEFULLY  THROUGH  THE TREES IN THE PARK..

THEN PASSES A TREE AND  LOOKS AT THE PATH  NEXT TO  HIM.

AS HE SEES THE GHOSTLY  CHARACTER  WALKING , LOOKS AT  HIM , THEN  RUNS TOWARDS  HIM.

 

HE TURNS  HIS  HEAD  FROM  RIGHT TO  LEFT THEN  LOOKS BACK  AND  SEE  NOTHING  IS THERE.

 

JAMES GREEN : AM… I  DREAMING , IF SO  WAKE  UP.

Storyboard for the opening of In Thus Life

The photograph of the first six shots/scenes of the opening
to the film- In Thus Life.
As from the first shot/scene, we will be filming on the location
of Tupton Bridge then Holmgate Park, by using the following shots of
establishing shot, mid-shot, close-up and long-shots.
The Mise-en-scene, the first character that will be seen in the first
moments of the thriller will be dressed in casual clothing and the character
that appears in the six shot/scene of the opening will be dressed in
a dark robe with a ghoul's facemask. 

These seven to twelve shots/scenes of the following part
to the opening, will have the character that appeared in
the sixth shot/scene of the first storyboard part of the thriller.
The locations for these parts will be in a dark atmospheric area then goes back to
the Tupton Bridge.  

These shots/scenes of the following part to the opening, shows
a memory of the main male character has he is having a flashback to one of his
past memories. Showing him walking down a path to school's bus park and seeing a
friendly face. The location for the shots/scenes is a school's Bus park and
the tree which is in the Park. The costumes for the characters in these part of the opening
to the thriller is the female dressing in casual, school-like clothing and the male in
casual clothing too. The antagonist will be dressed in their dark robe with the ghoul's facemask.

In these photographs shows the storyboard for the thriller, as we have visual planned how the opening to the thriller would look like if my team decided to use these storyboard for the final thriller opening.

As for the beginning we planned to tell the story of our thriller for showing the end of the thriller to the audience that the main male character will die at the end but then show the start of the beginning of how the male character will die and the reason why he will be killed.

We thought that the way of starting the opening to the thriller is better than just showing the opening like most of the majority of films start, as this will make the audience watch the thriller as they will know the final outcome at the end of the thriller that the main male character will die at the end. This will make the audience be more interested in watching the thriller as the audience will want to find the reason why will the main male character will die at the end of the thriller.

Detective Small (Ryan Small)
Age: 29
General Information:
Ryan Small was born on the 31st October 1985,
and grow up in South Yorkshire.
At the age of  23, he graduated with a master
degree in Police Intelligence,
at Sheffield Hallam University and gain a job
with South Yorkshire Police.
At the age of 29, he is well known in
the South Yorkshire Police
Department as he has solve many crimes
as shown by his determination in his
work.
Relationship; Single, however he has internet dating for
 a 26 years old woman.
 

Doctor Slobe
(Robert Slobe)
Age: 59
General Information:
Robert Slobe works at St Globe Hospital, USA.
And in charge of seeing and looking after James Green,
when his previous doctor has been murder mysteriously.
As he is a recommend doctor and expert in psychology, as
he's put to the task to help James Green with his problems.
As to help Mr Green, he has to go and visit James in Derbyshire, England.
Relationship : Married and has two daughters, one daughter is aged 39, called Rosy and married
the other daughter aged 26 called Sarah, got a job as a news reporter and
seeing a man over the internet - Ryan Small.
 

Doctor Heart
(Shelia Heart)
Age: 45
General Information:
Doctor at the Royal Hospital, Chesterfield, Derbyshire.
At the start of the film, she is in charge of the helping
James Green with his mental issues,
 however she is mysteriously
murdered.
Relationship: Just got engaged to her boyfriend.
 

Ella Short
Age:16
General Information:
Ella Short has been the only bests friend in James Green's life,
as they grown up together. She knows how James felt when his parents
died in the car accident, and the only one who James trues the most with his problems.
They look at to each other for help in times of need, but over the years she has
dealt feelings for him. And she will do anything to get him to love her.
Relationship: Single, but wants to be in a love relationship with James
(Boyfriend and Girlfriend relationship).



James Green
Age: 17
General Information:
James Green is the main character in the thriller, as he has development mental
issues with himself since his parents being killed in the car accident when he was 12 years old.
He doesn't have a lot of friends or family members, as he doesn't have the time for them
however the only best friend he has is Ella Short, who he grown up with and Mr Calls
who act as a grandfather to he whilst he was growing up.
His mental issue is that he has horrible flashbacks and nightmares of a mysterious person in a black
robe with a ghoul's mask on his face, he trying to get it solve or is it a fragment of his life in his past or present or both.
Relationship: Single, but Ella Short may have feelings for him.
 

Mr Calls
(Graham Calls)
Age: 81
General Information:
Has known James Green from when he was little as he lived next door to his family.
But after James' parents died in a car accident when James was 12 years old, he
has known that James has been different every since.
He is the only one who knows James the most and when Detective Small asks
him for advice about James, then something terrible happens to him as a result of telling the police.
Relationship: Once married, but his wife is now deceased.

Nurse Smily
(Jolly "Smily"- Green)
Age: 29
General Information:
Jolly Smily is a nurse, who works at the Royal Hospital in Chesterfield, Derbyshire.
She is the only 'nearly' family member left to James Green, as she is step-sister to him.
They don't very close to one another and don't to speak to one another for help to. And sometimes she wishes that he wasn't there living anymore, as his mother made her promise she will look after him if anything happens to her.
But they only got each other left in their family, as both her parents are dead and James' mother is dead as well.
However she see James more now on a regular basics, as he is always visiting the hospital once a day each week.
Relationship : Has got a boyfriend, living very happily together.
 

Sarah Slobe
Age: 26
General Information:
She wants to be a well known news reporter, as she dreams of deliver the big news to the public.
She is secretly internet dating Detective Ryan Small without her father knowing. Her father is Doctor Robert Slobe, and he wants her to become a doctor and married a man, who is rich.
But she doesn't want that, as she wants to make her own way in life.
However when she gets asked to go to Derbyshire to report of the crimes there,  that's getting the public's eyes; she will meet her worst fears yet, meeting her internet dating person face to face or telling her father, she making her own way in life.
Relationship: Internet dating Detective Ryan Small.

Mysterious Person (the killer)
Age: ??
General Information:
Enjoys killing people and will be revealed in small parts of the thriller.
And show their true identical. Also the antagonist in the film.
Relationship: ???

Sergenat Collins
(Lizzy Collins)
Age: 38
General Information:
Lizzy Collins is a police officer in the South Yorkshire Police, she works with Detective Small very closely,
as she has helped him to solve many of his crimes during his time with the South Yorkshire Police.
She is sometimes seen as to be more of the expert between the two of them, as she has more experience of the field than Detective Small. Therefore she has solve many of his crimes but he has took the credit for them, so she wishes that one day she will solve a crime and take full charge for it.
Relationship: Single Mother, has a six year old boy called Tim.

' In Thus Life'
This film is a new upcoming fiction thriller film.
Production Company: DarkSkies

PLOT:
Set in today's society about a man, who lives two lives- one as a happy, in love man and the other as a mysterious psycho killer. In the end, the man will decide which life does he want to live and forget the other.

 This scene grabs shows the mind map, that was created to show the ideas and themes in which could be included within the film. Such as the budget, the crew for filming and the Actors/Actress who will appear somewhere as the characters who is in the film.
